Why We Exist

Our purpose is to mobilize Muslim communities to build a prosperous and peaceful Africa.
AFMC believes that faith communities possess enormous social capital capable of contributing to national development, conflict prevention, humanitarian response, and social transformation.
We therefore work to strengthen Muslim institutions while promoting dialogue, justice, good governance, and peaceful coexistence

OUR ACHIEVEMENTS

Since its establishment, AFMC has made significant contributions to Muslim cooperation and development across Africa. Highlights include:
• Official registration and operationalization as a continental organization.
• Recognition as a trusted reference point on Muslim affairs in Africa.
• Strategic partnerships with leading continental and international organizations.
• Development of institutional governance, finance, and strategic planning systems.
• Implementation of clean water projects benefiting communities in Uganda.
• Successful programmes addressing religious extremism and radicalization.
• Annual Women's Empowerment initiatives.
• Representation at major international conferences including Religions for Peace and the World Assembly of Religions.
• Representation on the African Council of Religious Leaders (ACRL) Governing Board.
